Secure Construction with Isolated Ignition Sources

 

 

This fan features a cylindrical housing that integrates a certified explosion-proof motor enclosed in a separate sealed compartment. A long shaft connects the motor to the mixed-flow impeller located in the airflow path, effectively isolating potential electrical ignition sources from explosive gases. The impeller is precision-cast or welded from approved aluminum or stainless steel and dynamically balanced to G6.3 (upgradable to G2.5) for smooth operation. All housing joints are machined as flameproof flanges or fitted with certified seals to maintain explosion integrity. The external bearing housing allows safe maintenance from a non-hazardous zone, reducing downtime and risk.

In pharmaceutical or chemical processing plants where solvents like ethanol or acetone are used, this fan is often installed mid-duct or at the exhaust endpoint to overcome system resistance (up to 500 Pa total pressure) and safely extract hazardous vapors.
